| | My husband's vote for our multi-purpose room was a pool table. We bought one and put it in and for awhile everyone in the family enjoyed it. The problem was that it took up about a third of the room and we were limited in what we could do in the rest of the room. To add versatility to the pool table we checked with the store we bought it from and were told that we might want to consider a table tennis conversion top to provide a different usage. It seemed like a good idea to me but my husband was not sure if he wanted to go along with the table tennis conversion top or not. I had a neighbor invite us over for an evening at their home and we spent several hours in their basement playing table tennis. Before we left that night he was convinced that table tennis was an option that we should explore. The kids and I were excited with this option and encouraged him to make a rapid purchase. Now we have options that we did not have before, and as far as the family goes, we get a lot more play out of the table tennis than the pool.
